A house that seeks the peace of a family to get away from the noise of the city and get closer to nature.

The house is located in an urbanization in the north of Madrid in a residential area surrounded by houses. A strategic location between the Sierra de Guadarrama, flanked between the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares Park and the Guadarrama River Regional Park.
The façades are made of concrete, steel and wood, seeking a sophisticated and austere image at the same time. The house opens with large windows where there are views and they are protected and closed where there are other houses, to avoid prying eyes. The sobriety of the exterior façades contrasts with the interior where a more welcoming atmosphere is sought.
The housing situation in its environment and the search for privacy in the home generates the geometry of the house. It is generated from two pieces, a basement in which the day area is located around a central patio that functions as an access and a second piece that is totally independent geometrically rested upon the base, projected over it to generate a large porch on the ground floor.
A house closed to the outside that becomes our refuge away from the noise of the city and with a large central patio that reminds us of the natural environment of the Sierra de Madrid where we are.
